New calls published under Clean Sky 2

EU funding opportunities
The Joint Technology Initiative (JTI) Clean Sky 2 has published the fourth call for proposals, under the Horizon 2020 programme.

The Joint Technology Initiative Clean Sky 2 is a public-private partnership established between the European Commission and the main aircraft manufacturers, which aims to develop innovative technologies to improve the environmental performance of aircraft, allowing a sustainable development of the air transport system. Its mission is to develop breakthrough technologies to significantly increase the environmental performances of airplanes and air transport, resulting in less noisy and more fuel efficient aircraft, hence bringing a key contribution in achieving the Single European Sky environmental objectives.

With a budget of 47.92 million euro distributed over 57 topics, the call will fund projects responding to the needs highlighted by the steering Committees of the JTI on “Integrated Technology Demonstrators” (ITDS) and “Innovative Aircraft Demonstrator Platforms” (IADPs).

The actions supported will fall into the category of Research and innovation actions (RIA) with a co-financing rate of 100%, and Innovation actions (IA) with the EU contribution covering up to 70% of eligible costs.

The 57 topic of the call belong to the following six program areas:
