EU-NATO Task Force on Resilience of Critical Infrastructure

Energy, transport, digital infrastructure, and space: these are the initial areas on which the EU-NATO Task Force on Resilience of Critical Infrastructure will focus. Two months after the joint announcement by President of the European Commission von der Leyen and NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg, the EU-NATO Task Force on 16th of March became tangible, aiming to intensify cooperation between the two parties to cope together with “evolving threats” to critical infrastructure and keep it “robust and reliable”. Collaboration, knowledge sharing and support between the EU and NATO seems to be the only viable trajectory in this context, in which, as expressed by President Von der Leyen “We must strengthen the resilience of our critical infrastructure to always be ready”.
