It is more and more the leitmotiv of this strange and hard period for the Union the fact of underlying the distance between the first countries which joined and the latecomers. The first are always addressed as “Old Europe”, vs the second ones as the new one. But is it a difference which has some evidence in the reality? Are there different policies between the two groups? Where can we underline a real hiatus, and where instead evidence an exaggeration in this distinction? This is the focus of this number of NEU. Hope you will enjoy it.
