Italy and Sweden Elections: Which future political configuration for a brudened EU

NEU and many of you readers might have taken a summer break, but European affairs and political developments sure have not! NEU is back with this new number that – by proposing a multifaceted analysis – will delve into two crucial and upcoming events for the EU: Italian and Swedish election. While the Italian political debate is polarized between far-right and populist parties on one side, and moderate and fragmented left-wing parties on the other, Sweden incumbent Social Democrats are challenged by right-wing factions. At stake, besides national reforms and outcomes, is the equilibrium of the European Parliament and the EU’s cohesion.
