New Call for Proposals under CEF-Telecom

EU funding opportunities

The European Commission, Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology, has launched four call for proposals in the field of the trans-European telecommunication networks under the Connecting Europe Facility for the period 2014-2020.

The overall objective of the Connecting Europe Facility is to pursue economic growth and support the completion and functioning of the internal market in support of the competitiveness of the European economy. CEF Telecom in particular is aimed at pursuing real improvements in daily life for citizens, businesses (including SMEs) and administrations through the deployment of solid trans-EU interoperable infrastructures based on mature technical and organisational solutions.

Proposals are invited for the following four calls:

CEF-TC-2017-1: Business Registers Interconnection System (BRIS)

Proposals may be submitted by a single entity or a consortium of entities based in one or several Member States and/or EEA countries participating in the CEF Telecom programme. Eligible entities are business registers as referred to in Directive 2009/101/EC.

Indicative total budget: 2 million

Funding rate: up to 75% of the total eligible cost

Indicative duration of the action: 18 months

CEF-TC-2017-1: eIdentification & eSignature

Proposals may be submitted by consortia consisting of at least 3 entities from one or more Member State(s) and/or EEA countries participating in the CEF Telecom programme. One of the entities should be either a public service or an entity acting on behalf of a public service in order to enable the connection to the node.

Indicative total budget: 7 million

Funding rate: up to 75% of the total eligible cost

Indicative duration of the action: 12 months

CEF-TC-2017-1: Electronic Exchange of Social Security Information (EESSI)

Proposals may be submitted by a single entity or a consortium of entities based in one or several Member States and/or EEA countries participating in the CEF Telecom programme. Funding will be limited to maximum of EUR 2 million per country, regardless of whether one or several entities from that same country apply.

Indicative total budget: 17 million

Funding rate: up to 75% of the total eligible cost

Indicative duration of the action: 24 months

CEF-TC-2017-1: European e-Justice Portal

Proposals may be submitted by a single entity or a consortium of entities based in one or several Member States and/or EEA countries participating in the CEF Telecom programme.

Indicative total budget: 1.5 million

Eligible organizations:

  • Interconnection of Insolvency Registers: national public administrations competent for or operating insolvency or commercial registers,
  • European Case Law Identifier: national, European and international case law publishers or providers
  • Access to e-CODEX : public administrations
  • Interconnection of Land Registers: organisations competent for or operating land registers and/or cadastres. Relevant professional registers may also apply to implement the authentication mechanism
  • European Court Database: publica administration

Funding rate: up to 75% of the total eligible cost

Indicative duration of the action: 24 months

The deadline for the submission of proposals is 18 May 2017.
