Europe in 2020
Editorial 16 December 2019Our last issue of 2019 takes a look to the future. Like the programme Europe 2020 shows, next year will be in fact crucial both for the European Union and its citizens. While we are writing, elections in UK put that country clearly out of the future perspectives of a common horizon with what EU is now. And that will be possibly one of the major variables to be considered in the next future by the people who is in power in Brussels now. Other changes came during this year which will be essential to define the new Trade, Environmental and Foreign Policies of the Union. This issue of NEU tries to clarify what could be a realistic perspective in all these domains for the year which is coming.
